Halloween was rather lame this year. No pumpkin carving, dressing up, decorations around the house, leftover candy to enjoy, etc. It's not a big holiday in Australia; it's not much of a holiday here at all. So we spent the evening watching a scary movie at home. And, since we were missing out on Halloween candy, we went to Acland Street and got ourselves a treat. Zack's is some sort of pistachio cake, and mine is a froggy! As I write this, my family is flying halfway around the world, and they'll be here in the morning. Perhaps the next post will be a guest blog by one of them!
